Hello everybody. Thank you for being here, although we are still working... so , my apologies , and watch your steps...Borikov is a kennel in Puerto Rico, dedicated to the Borzoi, or Russian Wolfhound. We are devoted to 13 of these beautiful animals at this time, possibly adding some other members soon. We are breeding our Borzoi since last year and actually are making their debuts in the Show ring , with very nice results: so, we are extremely proud of our dogs.Borikov is owned by Raul Perez and Ottman Martinez. My experience ( Raul ) with Borzoi starts in 1978 , thanks to Maria Hurd, a friend since the first moment, and to whom I dedicate this page. As a way of gratittude, I would also like to thanks Rebecca Kuchera, who trusted me , and who sent her Teddy, a Maria's breeding, letting me the opportunity to show him, finish him and place him as far as First in Group, something I will always be grateful of. Also, special Thanks to Garnet Thompson and Charlotte Wheeler, from V'Indra, for their unconditional support and help.This is also specially dedicated to " Magic". Ch Ancon's Abracadabra, my beloved Afghan Hound friend and to Annette Constantine, who believed in me, and besides an important person in the world of dogs to me, my beloved dear friend.

Dog Shows in Puerto Rico...

Puerto Rico is a small island in the Caribbean: small in size, yet, BIG in spirit... We have been in the sport of dogs for many years, being the PRKC one of the first clubs to be founded, if not the first. Actually we have AKC and FCI shows.The Dog World Show, the most important event of FCI in the world was held in 1997 here in PR.Many people is getting a real interest on FCI showing, so, every year we have many new visitors coming from around the world to our dog shows. The Dog World Show this year will be in Mexico...of course, Borikov's Borzoi will be present !

Our Two litters
|
Although I had bred before, two years ago we decided to be more serious on dog breeding and showing. So, I went back to my original lines kennel, and here we are. We had two litters last year, born June 14 and July 1st. We have produced substance, coat, movement, beautiful heads, and the most important: wonderful temperaments.Our bloodlines are blends of Tobore with Zephyr's Reach on the bitches. Then, my male have other lines, with lots of substance , elegance and soundness. We also have addedV'Indra's to our family, but they are young girls who will be at the show ring first. Hopefully we will be getting that touch of elegance that V'Indra carries, with the substance Teddy, the coats and beautiful heads and movements Maria always produces...Well, we are really satisfied of what we got and what we will be getting in the future. Our goal: produce soundness in mind and body !!
